Christmas Games Super Bundle

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year.

It’s also a massive opportunity for your direct sales or party plan business.

To make your life easier in the silly season, I’ve collected a bundle of Christmas-themed games that you can use in your in-home or online parties.

Christmas Names

This game requires no preparation, printables, or pen & paper. It’s the perfect fall-back game if you’ve forgotten to prepare anything. This game is easy to play in-home or online!

You play by asking guests to introduce themselves with a Christmas-related word that starts with the first letter of their name and their name. For example, I could introduce myself as “Candy Cane Christine,” while my friend Angela could use “Angelic Angela,” and Stephanie could call herself “Starry Night Stephanie.”

Most people will join in the fun and come up with something that matches their name. If they get stuck on a tricky letter, like my fabulous assistant Zoe might with her name, I tell them to use their last name or middle name instead.

I give prizes to everyone in this game and usually use a bowl of mini candy canes. (Extra tip: have a bag of mini candy canes on hand at all your parties during the holiday season. They come in super handy).

Drawing Games

Drawing games are always fun and get lots of laughs. I have two different versions that you can download below to use at your parties. The game is also easily adaptable to play online.

You provide each guest with a blank sheet of paper and a pen for both of these versions. They then close their eyes and draw according to your instructions. The scoring (which you’ll find on the printable) will them how well they did and determine the winner.

I like to give a prize to the winner but also to the person with the least points – I call them the “winner in reverse” rather than the “loser.”

Download 2 versions of this game below.

Envelope Games

I have two versions of the envelope game for you to use this season. This is strictly an in-home party game.

Depending on how many guests are at the party, you’ll need to prepare 2-3 envelopes. In the envelopes, you can put a  card with the prize written on it. The prize could be a small product, an order discount, free shipping, or chocolates. Whatever works in your business.

At the party, hand the envelopes to random guests and ask everyone to form a circle. Explain to the guests that the envelopes are to be passed to the right every time you say the word “right” when reading the story. Whenever you say the word “left,” the envelopes must be passed to the person on the left.

You’ll get lots of confusion and laughter over the directions. The person who holds an envelope at the end of the game gets to open it to reveal their prize.

Fill out the form below to get two different stories for this game.

Top Tips to Maximize pre-Christmas Sales

Do you sell a product that appeals to women?

If so, you can make a lot of pre-Christmas sales with this clever tip that doesn’t require parties!

What you need to do is to create three beautifully presented product bundles at three different price points.

3 Bundles at 3 Price Points

You create a low-priced, medium-priced, and high-priced bundle. Of course, the exact prices depend on your particular product, but as a rough guide, you could aim for a $50 bundle, a $100 bundle, and a $250 bundle.

You then take these pre-prepared bundles with you to show at workplaces in your town that are generally staffed by men.

If you show up with three beautifully presented packs and offer to make Christmas super easy for them with this ready-made gift for their girlfriend, wife, or mother, they’ll likely be thrilled!

I’ve found that keeping it simple with only three options works best with the most sales. You might consider offering bundles in multiple colors or scents – if your product lends itself to that – but I find that making the decision easy for them tends to work better.

In addition to going around to workplaces, you can also take some beautiful photos of your gift packs and offer them on your business page and in customer groups.

The key to making this easy for you is to allow a little freedom in the products you put in each pack. I tell customers I can make a gift pack, presented just as beautifully as the samples, to the same value with similar contents. That way, I’m not restricted when some products sell out quickly in the Christmas rush. You can avoid the headache of stock availability by promising the same quality and value but allowing the freedom to swap out items.

Have a little stock on hand

As you get closer to the date when your company can no longer guarantee pre-Christmas delivery, you can stock up on your gift pack items to continue selling some ready-made gift packs to last-minute shoppers.

Whatever packs you have left over after Christmas will come in handy around Mother’s Day or you can re-bundle items as booking incentives in January or even hold a prize draw. I’m sure you can find a way to use ‘leftovers.’

Secrets to making these tips work well

Maximize Pre-Christmas Sales (without parties)

The two secrets to making this strategy work well are presentation and marketing.

The presentation must be perfect. You need to make your gift packs look gorgeous and high-quality.

The second secret is marketing – you are marketing this to men who want a beautiful gift for the women in their lives but also want the shopping to be easy.

Festive Booking Ideas

Title: Festive Booking IdeasThe ‘silly season’ is rapidly coming closer! And as a direct seller you’ll want to make the most of this peak trade period.

You’ll want to party, party, party – so you need bookings, bookings, bookings.

Here are 5 festive and fun ideas to get those bookings now:

Crack a Cracker

Buy some cheap bon-bons or Christmas crackers. Create small pieces of paper and write the description of a prize on it (a product, a discount, free delivery, chocolate prize, etc.). Anyone who books a party with you, gets to ‘crack a cracker’ to see what their prize is.

It’s a festive way to incentivize bookings and gets people in the Christmas spirit already.

Advent Calendar

Buy an advent calendar with little drawers or pouches so that you can put little notes inside them.

Mark the dates on the calendar that you still have available (use a sticker or ribbon). When a party guest books a party they get to open the drawer or pouch to see what their prize is.

This strategy creates a sense of scarcity because there are only so many dates open for them to book a party in a very visible way. Also, you get to control which dates you want to be running parties or events.

I use the advent calendar for November and December party bookings!

Mini Christmas Tree and Baubles

You can take a mini Christmas tree to your parties from the start of November. Prepare a bunch of little baubles by writing an available party date on each of them with permanent marker.  Put the baubles in the tree and make it part of your display.

Once a guest has booked a party, they find the corresponding bauble on the tree and trade it for a prize.

The Great Bauble Smash

Find some Christmas baubles that let you take the top off easily. Prepare a bunch of small pieces of paper with prizes written on them. Roll up the papers and put one in each bauble. Put the top back on and write your available party dates on the baubles with a permanent marker (one date per bauble).

Put the baubles in a pretty basket or box to display. When a guest books a party, they get to smash the bauble with their party date on it to find their prize.

I recommend using plastic baubles because the mess is a little easier to deal with. Also, bring a towel with you so you can put the bauble on the towel for them to smash and easily remove the mess.

12 Days of Christmas

Choose 12 prizes and wrap them as beautiful Christmas gifts. The more enticing they look, the better this will work. You use these gifts for your last 12 party dates before Christmas.

When a guest books a party with you at one of those dates, she gets to choose one of the gifts. You write her name on the gift tag but don’t give it to her yet. You present her with the gift at her party so that her guests get to see that she gets this beautiful gift for booking a party.

This incentive is not only very ‘Christmassy’ it also creates a genuine sense of scarcity because you only have the 12 gifts for the 12 last party dates before Christmas.
